I have a couple of these and the chargers are fine. They are the same as you find on mobile phones etc. I am an electrician and would not use anything I consider to be electrically unsafe.
You will find that most chargers and small appliances are made in China these days.
As I have already said on another post, the longevity of the LED would be my main concern but for the price if they last a couple of years I would be happy.

whats the batteries like do they hold there charge well ??

might invest in one with a charger next time if they are ok

thanx for the info :)

I haven't managed to run one down yet as I have only used them once. The instructions say 74 hours but I think that would be optimistic even on the half power option. The good thing is that you have the spare battery that can be swapped while fishing and they only take about 1-2 hours to charge. Like I said, good for the money.

m looking to get a cree as a back to my petzl zoom ....i find the zoom ok not as good as tiga...but cant complain for £20 quid.....having said that when i started 3 yrs ago i used a poundshop job which is still working til today them 9 led ones...

Used the cree as shown all last season and its still going strong -never had to use the spare battery yet - good value for money - every now and then I leave it on to fully flatten the battery and then recharge - no probs as yet
