I was looking something up on T`internet and came across this

seems to be a local advert directory ,for just about EVERYTHING ,as you will see i wanted to know how to make a "phaorohs serpant" but if you scroll to the top there is a squillion adverts for all you need in 1949

mainly weapons and car stuff - neither wonder the Yanks are gullible

The VERY last advert is VERY Un PC - how things have changed Ha Ha

have to confess being a bit of a sad anorak for old magazines. I've got thousands of em. Popular science and practical householder are my favourites though

"make your own fireworks are always a laugh" just googling for some of the ingredients would set the echelon alarm bells ringing and get you a visit in the middle of the night!
