Fished my local comp today roker pier" had one cod 2nd cast 7lb 7oz
and four tommies and a coalie all not size so one fish to weigh in.
Took heaviest fish, heaviest bag. and first fish of the year over 5lb
so there's my rod build payed for.

Just got this better pic off my mate.

30 mins before low about 12.30pm I was in less than 3ft of water

new i should have stopped longer, big well done mate, i was fishing at second steps lost loads of lead and no fish lol

Was a bit of a let down in the fight department one turn of the reel and it was out the water and on it's way up the side of the pier" but it was just as well because it was only on a sakuma manta 540 size 1/0

It was a lovely looking fish. We stayed till about 8.30 lost shed loads of gear all for one rockling caught just over the side. Still canny to get a bit fresh air.
