Decided to get out to see what the East Winds have done to the fishing.
Got to the Spiles at Seaham about 11am.
Sea was spot on but after 3 casts without a touch & losing gear each time, as well as being bothered by people, off to Hendon i went.

Again, the Sea was spot on, but Weed was a problem. It was running up the line and immediately lost everything again. No one else fishing so i guess that told the story. :D

Decided to head to Shields Groin to fish the Ebb. Got set up off the end just as the Ebb started. Had live Blacks,Lug & Ragworm with me & the Crabs were loving it again.
Fished 4 hours and managed a Codling about 2lb followed by 2 nice Coleys & another which could possibly have been a Pollock, had a tinge of Copper on it? But looking at the Pic its probably a Coley.;)

Wasnt brilliant, but a hell of a lot better than last Fridays 9 hour stint on there for a single Codling.

Nice few fish Bob,have to disagree with Christine though both fish are Coalies ,pollock dont have silver laterel lines mate ..

Well done fella for sticking at some nice fish and defo 2 coalies sorry christine

Nice one Bob, if it makes you feel any better I was in meetings most of today and looking at the sea on my way in to Leechmere this morning I know where I'd rather have been.

As said defo both Coalies, the lateral line is the giveaway - straight and silver on a Coalie, curved and darker on a Pollack
