A couple of hours out

I had a few hours on Shields pier today, just to give the new reel a run out really. Fished from 12 to 3.30, one small coaly to show for it so not the best. The reel was fine and it was good to see the shiny new painted numbers up the pier. Guess where I fished......

Yes, Port of Tyne did it. Makes it much easier to direct people asking where to fish on the pier when the numbers are nice and clear like that.

Nowt fancy mate, just a 525 mag, same as everyone else. I had a 525 gs when they first came out in the 90's and I hated it, put me right off them. This one is great, smooth caster and good retrieve, nice. Got it for a good price as well.

She has her own cake making business and I sometimes get the job of delivering them for her. It's an engagement party nowhere near the prison.

I've just realised, me and my mate passed you as we went up the pier at about 1.30pm ish!

I clocked the "fishingmark" sticker on your box and mentioned to my mate that I was sure there was someone on the forum with the same username.

I thought it was a trademark on the tackle box

I'm getting on a bit now you know, not all the switches connect up properly

Next time I'll stop and pass the time of day
