Following last years success, Amble SAC will be holding a summer open competition again this year on Sunday 17 July, fishing from 09.30 to 13.30.
Entry fee will be £10 for seniors, juniors fish free but for a dedicated junior prize table.
Prizes are a guaranteed minimum of £100 for the heaviest bag, £100 for the heaviest fish, and £50 for the heaviest flatfish.
The final prize totals awarded will be dependent on entry numbers, this is a CASH PRIZE ONLY competition

As per club rules, Wrasse are now excluded from the weigh-in.

am glad there is a proper open on over the summer.

there should be more opens on through the summer, i mean there is some good fishing to be had from the northumberland marks for the kelp cod.

i have never fished a competition before as have recently taken up fishing after alot of years off,, would this be a good competition for a first timer and if so how do they work,, many thanks
