A great start to our cod season

Hasn't it been a great start to the season guys, plenty of fish at times from marks up and down the coast. Lately I've fished on South Shields pier with good results, also the Tyne for smaller but keepable fish at times taking a fish a chuck! And last night had a great session on Lynemouth beach with around 15 codling between the two of us. I've had more codling in two weeks than I had all last winter on our coast!

Hopefully we all have some great fishing this season, Ive kept a few for the pan but also put many back to in the hope our sport will continue to be good in future years. Enjoy catching lads, tightlines, Dave.

Well done Dave-i have to say the couple of times i,ve been its loads better than last year.

I,ve had 4 in two sessions-and that was all i had last year.
