If she\'s the barmaid this forum\'s named after, I\'m gonna have to make this a BIGGER forum :P

Having looked at this picture again (several times.....lol).....

I don\'t think it IS duck.

Looks more like a Coot.
The Coot ( Fulica atra) is a member of the Rallidae family and is related to the Moorhen.
\"Ducks\" have webbed feet, but the Coot has lobes (not as nice as the lobes exhibited by the lady in the foreground, granted).

could be a great crested grebe (podiceps cristatus)

about the size of a duck, pure white neck, sharp beak
and white plumage on breast
its courtship is breast to breast with erect body and extended neck

lol

Its a bird isn\'t it? Don\'t know what the thing swimming in the water is though.

Johnny, hope you didn\'t print the pic off and fill your sock over it!! :D

Davy, was the picture taken at Haggerston Castle mate ? Im sure I recognise the bridge and the duck !!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :D

cheers.
