A tide or two too late?

Had a day off on Sunday so drove down to Dimmo to fish the afternoon tide up. Carpark was packed and lines of anglers on the beach but when I got down there no-one was catching. Gave it 4 hours without a bite and never saw a fish caught. Lots of lads packing up and calling it a day. The locals were blaming the wind which had a bit of north in it, but the sea was still pretty flat. That's fishing I guess.

That's the thing with Hound fishing, they can be there one tide and gone the next, there is no rhyme nor reason to it which is a bit of a bugger if you have driven a long way to fish.

It was the same when I lived on the south coast and used to fish the "Mecca" marks at Selsey West and Hayling. Lads would travel hundreds of miles to blank, at least in those days I only lived half an hour's drive away.

Least you tried lad's,like stewart say's there one day gone the nxt:(
Just got in myself from dimmo(turbines)never had a touch, sea too clear with a massive southerly wind blowing.Seen a hand full of hounds, only a few, plenty of rods out, most ppl blanked,me included:D:D
Better luck nxt time chaps:)
Ps,good knowledge of the location stewart:)
