Well as promised the first day out this year

left hartlepool at aproximately 07.30 and peroceeded to steam for approximately 1 hour to the first stop

well first stop was rubbish so a quick look through a few numbers and then on to the next mark and this turned up trumps

drifted this mark for approximately 2.5 hours and this resulted in 18 cod for me all between 5 to 10lb

and sharon who was feeling sick ended with a cod of about 10lb and a ling

all in all a great trip and was even better that sharon got a double as she was filling in for the crew person that had the poooooos

will post some piccies when i figure it out or if any of the mods can do it for me i will gladly send them to be put on

was a great day out and the dog loved it as well

my missus wouldnt leave the dog at home so he came as well

the boat performed top notch as well we reached 28.5 mph and was still going but backed off because of the swells that were left from all the northerlyies we have had

Nice to see a report out of Hartlepool. Looks like a canny trip out that, some cracking fish.

Do you keep the boat in the marina ?

And nice use of the plastic pipe for the gaff, good idea.

Hope to get out of Hartlepool this weekend myself if the weather lets me.

Great Pictures Sean, they make the report even better .......... cracking mate ........

out of interest, if you shopped at a local supermarket ...... Sainsbury's online groceries

then 42lb = 18.75Kg

and at £8.97/Kg thats a freezer full of £168.18 worth of fish ....
LOL never need to go shopping again :) :)

hi norman didnt even thing about the price of fish but looks like we had some good moneys worth

Codfather

yes the boat is at hartlepool

the gaff is made from an old drain cleaning rod with the treads cut off the end so as to make a nice brass end to the gaff
