abu 6000C

mate of mine has dug out an old multiplier and would like to know if it is worth anything?

its a black abu ambassudeur 6000c in absolute mint condition with all the spares, brake blocks,spannners,leather case,spare spool, never had line on it

he asked me if i knew anyone who might know if it is worth anything

hes not sure how old it is

any info on the reel would be appretiated

What does he mean \"old\" I have a 6500 and its brill I\'v only had it for 23yrs & i still consider it as my new reel, mind you its a little worse for were & it dont work anymore, it cost me £75 quids,, thats when £75.00 was 2 weeks wages.. A pint was only 69p a pint+ a packet of 20 Regal was only 80p, \"\" the good old day\'s\"\" I wonder If I can get it fixed,, It had a life time guarentee..But who\'s life time,, mine or Its??? might have to pop down & see those nice lads from Temples, & see what they can come up with , cheers Tich

hi maccy ,check out e-bay m8 theres been a few olduns kicking around
all the abus seem to be holding there price and go for around 75-100 quid,check out the prices for similar reels and go for the highest ono hell not fall short of making a few quid

i must be getting old i remember when 10 no6 was only 12p

I know the feeling well,the first pub I was served in was the Penthouse AT whitley Bays Spannish City,,, a pint was 48p and a pkt of 20 Regal was 52p thats a Quid in total for a pint&a pkt of 20tabs,,mind you I was only earning £32 a week.. Ist about £6.00 for the same nowadays, my wages have gone up a little since then though,,
