Don't bleach mate , boiling water and a table spoon of bicarbonate of soda , it cleans and has no taint and won't harm the seal , leave over night , it's also good to clean ya bait fridge in a diluted solution , plus bait boxes ect , good dry sprinkled on ya carpet prior to hoovering , let it stand a while and take the dogs out , then Hoover ... Gets shot of the mutt smell :-) great commodity

Aye Steredant Tablets do the job, but dont do what our lass did and screw the lid partly on......there was an almighty bang and the top blew off and put a hole in the ceiling in the kitchen...:o:D

Would you like to elaborate on that, still using my Stanley S/S flask-must be 15 yr old +.
Dont say it damages the seal, bung/stopper doesnt get put on in the cleaning process.
Must be loads of different ways to clean them, you do your own thing !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Didn't mention seal bung or stopper it must affect the internals, prior to using bleach the two flasks I cleaned kept tea/coffee hot after cleaning, look warm after 1hr.;)

Never clean my coffee flasks (same goes for coffee pots & stove-top maker) just a rinse out with hot, soapy water. You should let them build up a coating otherwise they have that awful, new, metallic-taste like when you get a new one. For the wide-mouthed bait flasks, a trained ferret with a squirt of detergent does the job ;)

ok,gary aswell as to answers ive had.firstly tried 2sterident tablets 45% clean, then dollop of bleach, couple hours later now 90% clean.finaly ive found @ put 3 boots sterilizing tablets into flask will leave in overnight.didint have any bicarbanate sodo to try.well in the end men,we will call this one a draw.ended up putting a metal pan scrub thingy mujig into flask to scub about with + wooden spoon.eeeeeeeee us MEN always have problems with little jobs, but we always get there in the end.food for thought just wonder what our second halfs talk about when they go to hairdresses.somehow dont think it will be about cleaning flasks out.once again all the best nesa members.
