alcan beach is the one north next to the beacons right?? lynmouth beach the one after the sea defences to the north? also im wondering what stage of tide is best at these marks.

lynemouth stretches from the beacons all the way up to snab point just before cresswell you could say the pipe splits the beach north and south I have heard of the north side being called the alcan beach

It can fish all stages of the tide but I find it best over high water.

I always fish the southside m8 and for me the best time always been 2 down three up it will fish over top but got best ever bag over low water always had me best bags over low and I have fished the beach for about 25 years
