fished alden after a lay off of 6 month due to frozen shoulder managed 6 on h/e and ptn nothing big but i was using a 4 wt rod what a scrap alden bottom lake is small so you dont need a big cast

only been down there twice not that keen on the place .have you tried knitsley m8 its just down the road from me billy the manager is trying so hard to improve the lakes.
went down there last week for a walk out with my dog did see a few fish to the net in a short time.
I fish waskerley and smiddy shaw but sadley there are no longer any day tickets for the water. this was down to total vandalisam of the fishing lodge
smashed up money and tackle stolen
