Travelled down to Hartlepool with a strong breeze across the A1, arrival at the marina felt a lot calmer, but it did increase once we got out.
Started with a 12oz lead and Stripey tiger red tail sidewinder, fished all day with this lure and took a decent bag of 11 fish, my best Cod to 8lb with 2 nice Pollock around 6lb.
Best fish on the boat were Ling over 12lb and Cod about 8lb.
Hard fishing, but great sport.
Skipper finding the fish yet again.

That's a good haul for you mate, especially considering it's slightly tough at the moment.

Yes Mate, It has changed over the last few days or so and was a hard day, finished on 16oz of lead to keep bottom, but you have to change fishing tactics to adapt to the conditions, some anglers didn't, and their return of fish was considerably less, and a lot more tangles for them, but each to their own. :)

Exactly right, mate!!

its all about presentation of the bait. What works for flyfishing and rivers eventually works for drift and shad fishing.

well done you and well done Dave.

Nice fishing.

People fishing with light leads of 6 to 8oz and tangling with everyone, it's my pet hate on a charter boat!
