alnmouth beach

fished the beach at alnmouth 2hrs either side of low tide targeting flattys ,rag tipped with mackrel for bait , 4 rod out between us but only 1 fish caught (see pic attached) the sea was flat calm gin clear and it was very sunny ,the wrong type of conditions ?? , there were 2 lads fishing futher down the beach are you from this site and did you have any luck ? , the amount of weed piled up at the high tide line is unreal there must be tonnes of the stuff !!!

Unlucky mate. It was very poor fishing everywhere yesterday. Conditions were ok for flattie bashing.

I went up there yesterday evening for a couple of hours either side of high tide and didn't get so much a sniff. Like you say, dead flat and very clear and weed and bits of trees and stuff all over the place - and millions of bloody flies in the rotten weed too!
