sailed at 09 30 with only about half a dozen(5 no shows, weather for the most part was poor although there was a short spell of better weather:exclam: sadly the fashing continued on its downward spiral:(they must aal have gone to craster:confused: or some other location:confused: the crewman today was the "apprentice" whose notable achievement was getting the "tying up rope"so well tied up it wouldnt come off:( summat to do with knot knowing his knots:( all in all probably a day best put in the "days to forget" file best fish was 6lb 14oz:)
 
Shame about the easterly wind (had it for a few weeks now on and off)
Did you go far LK or just stick to the coquet :) .....

aye mate, I know usually the run of spring cod only lasts (at it's height) for 4 or 5 weeks so maybe missed the best of it now by the time the wind eases ..... :(

but never mind as the wrecks are fishing well (or are down here anyway)

It's been a hard decision the past few weeks to go for the spring run on hard ground or for the wrecks, St Marys although good on odd days has not produced consistently for the last 3 or 4 years hence we opted for the wrecks early in the season with the decent weather, luckily they've been on form.

roll on the westerlies ... if ever :)
