me and couple friends headed up amble from shields,(louis268) and (mathaz),we got there 6pm,lovely sea running,we set up and started fishing, had variety of different baits, quiet first hour then mathaz hooked into what turned out to be a pouting, then louis pulled out a flattie, didnt get close look, so summising it was a dab or flounder, mathaz kept on pulling out pouting and whiting and then i hooked into my first codling of the season, round the1 1/2lb stamp, the strong southerly wind tried its best to spoil it added to by heavy rain, but the fishing was good so we stuck it out, sea running what looked like from the north despite southerly wind, not to big but enough to weed out all my preferred shots, thing went quiet so we moved bit further along, first chuck, mathaz hooked into decent fish, round 2 1/2lb codling and louis caught couple more pouting and whiting, things went quiet around hi water so decided on 1 last chuck, proved to be a good plan as i hooked into another size codling, canny session, worth the bad weather, most of fish caught on rag n mackerel strip
