Amble Harbour, 14/7/12.

Had a canny session yesterday. Fished Amble Harbour/estuary from the Warkworth side targeting Dabs and Flounders.Took plenty bait including Fresh Lug and Rag, Mackerel Strip and Squid. This session gave me a chance to try out my new Greys GRXS rod and it must be said that I am well impressed with it. Anyway, got to my chosen spot around 40 minutes before high water and put two rods out. Nothing at all for the first hour or so and decided to wait until the tide was on the ebb.As soon as the tide turned, I got two decent sized Flounder and these were both returned unharmed. Canny day out and didnt blank so it has to be a good session, already planning the next one.

Thanks for the kind comments lads, they are very much appreciated, it was great to catch a couple of decent fish and felt even better considering they were caught on the new rod ! I hope that they are the first of many.
