lingking

a 9am start gave the five lads who had booked the boat thu fri sat the chance to devour yet another fine breakfast supplied by derek at the schooner:)
on thursday they fished in wind and rain for diddly squat:(

friday they didnt fish atall due to weather conditions:(

what would to day bring:question:

the start was pretty cold and sea was not very nice, however as the day went on a bit of sunshine less wind and a much flatter sea made the warlords little bit of ocean a better place to be:),unless of course you wanted to catch fish:exclam:

so here we are its 3pm and we have 1 ling for our efforts(mackeral and whiting dont count):exclam:

with a 1hr 20 minute run to home we went shopping at the last chance hotel, would there be any one in:question::question:

:Dyeeeeesssssssss:D:D:D:D:D

1hr and 10minutes later 16 fish,all ling to keep:exclam:

nothing massive best 8lb plus worst 5lb plus

the rig that nobbled this lot was a flowing trace 3ft and pennel rig baited with mackerel

there were lots of "knocks" and fish that werent connected with:(

interestingly(or perhaps not)all fish landed were barely hooked, several chucking the hooks whilst in the net:question:

bit later back into port than planned, but time well spent:)

Sounds a good day out and rescued the weekend for the anglers Duncan.

Also great to know you are out again on Warlord, your hand must be healing well. I was just about to PM you. Today Lynn and I booked Church Point Caravan Park in Newbiggin by the Sea for Easter, so finally we will get back out with you and Jeff. :)
