just seeing if anyone else on here is a member of the blyth boat club, and if so have you had "the letter"?
from what i can gather, it appears that they want to charge an extra £300 for all us owners who have trailored boats, this is of course on top of the standard fees.
i have received a list of approx 38 boats , which must be every single boat in the compound.
1/reasons stated were boats that had not been worked on for the purpose of goiing into the water
2/boats lying abandoned not being used
3/ boats stored in the compound (THIS IS THE BALL BREAKER, THIS COVERS EVERY BOAT , WHETHER IT IS USED/ MAINTAINED OR ABANDONED!!??)
4/ second or third boats
5/ boats owned by members that do token gesture work?
i agree with all the above , apart from number 3. so if i am reading it right, they want all the scrap boats out, but they also want to charge an extra £300 even if your boat is used every weekend and superbly well maintained (note 3)
just wanted to know if anyone else thought this was a bit sh***. i will be contacting the boat club tommorrow just wondered if anyone had already contacted them, and see if they had any success?
