Have yer not got any blowlug mate, would'nt bother going if you just got the bait you say:D.
Tell you what the one place I would head for is Cresswell,2hrs down 2hrs up off the cars then on the beach in front of the cars, southeasterly just the mark to be.
depends on conditions just move south if its to big or north if ifs not big enough you can fish it right up to high water if you want.A south easterly will be blowing over your right shoulder on the beach....perfect.
smallish bait, one ragworm, two yellowts,1/2crab,whiteworm,and a git ball of mussle then wack it out 160yds into the tide, pity you got no blowlug but never mind:D

Just come back after being on since 7pm - one bite first cast then nowt! Total waste of time / bait / effort / a friday night! :(

looked so good when i was down there at 6pm getting some water for me worms lol.

i would head down to the sluice and fish the sumps or rocky island, been a few fish around there over the last few weeks, in dribs and drabs, but fish none the less.

Hartley area fishes well in these conditions as well. i might be tampted to go down there tomorrow for a few hours ;)

Been out today from 4pm with my mate, headed upto Hauxley first fished about 3 hrs got 1 10" Codling, moved to Blyth west pier, first chuck codling good 3lb then nowt, the sea was perfect about a dozen people fishing and i belive the only other fish was a Codling of about 1 1/2 lb, sea was building all the time came off about midnight, will be massive tomorrow (Saturday).

When i cleaned the fish it had nothing at all in it's stomach, it was long and lean and if it was "fed up" would have gone 4 1/2lb,I think that is concerning when there are so few fish about and the odd fish caught has not found any feed

Bitterly cold too, so get wrapped up well if you are off to drown worms.

im hoping this weather will bring in some nice feed, got a comp on tuesday night. could do with a nice bag of codling, i like the pier when the sea is tailing off :D

I'm hoping the west pier will fish tonight was thinking of cambois but the forecast is to get worse and dont fancy getting into trouble having said that its a falling tide so would be ok to get off prob still take the safe bet, just made a drop net so hopefully save some heart ache either that or jinx me f'n self lol:confused:

just been down there a few mins ago mate, its looking good. white water all the way from the bend to the beach.

you will defo need a few big grip leads as she is still a bit rough.
good luck :D
i think cambois pier will take a battering when the tide turns
