i'm off to the castle on friday morning, not for fishing but for the beer and the bands
by the way where is the fishing bit, iv'e never seen it yet in the ten years i have been going to stormin, never been looking though lol

Mark, at the right hand bend at the bottom of the bank up to Witton Castle there is a small turn off to the left, just follow that. I don't think you are supposed to find it lol.

im off to witton castle on Saturday - logged on today to ask for advice and saw this thread - spooky!

can anyone give me any hints and tips best places etc - what time does it open too?

any help would be much appreciated

i know where you are talking about i think

millinao i dont know about the fishing there but if i were you i would get up there early, once the bikers start arriving it will be a nightmare getting in, last year we headed out into durham for some food and when we got back around 11 ish it took us ages to get back in from the main road.
