Hi lads logic of the food chain:)fished alot off the north east coast and south east scotland many moons ago,we used to mackerel bash alot on south shields pier, the amount of fish that used to come off their was amazing and in all fairness was a bit of a slaughter,i also understand the herring are making
a comeback,to my way of thinking it goes like this plankton, fish fry, sandeel.mackerel and coalies cod eat the sand eel,now the question is what is eating the mackerel herring and small coalies, there must be porbeagle shark or blue shark or tuna lying just off the coast:eek:i know it would take a bit of research and would take a lot of time to put together, perhaps next year, but its got to be worth a go and a bit of money with a good skipper, anyone interested give me a shout:yltype:

Don't need to be a long way offshore, in the last few years, there have been the occasional Porbeagle caught in nets and sighted within a couple of miles of the Tyne/Tees coasts. Infact I gave it a go with balloons and macky last year.
