Are there any fish out there?

I\'m supposed to be boat fishing out of the Tyne or Seahouses next weekend.
I notice there are not many personal catch reports, but I was wondering if anyone knew if fish were been caught, and if so, what was the best method/ bait to catch them.

There are fish its just getting a single day this year to get out and catch them.

Just use your standard tactics, biated rigs/daylights with the mackerel you catch for ling and the odd cod as well as leadheads,pirks and daylights for the cod.

Only made it out boat fishing 3 times since July...that shows how poor its been...but there are fish there.

Talking of which, what\'s it like up there today? Looks marginal but possibly just fishable on the weather sites, but I don\'t want to make the trip up if it\'s awful.

Just checked the webcams, they look OK, but can be difficult to tell what with the resolutions and all.
