After a long time trying Arthur gets his first codling, I fish most wednesdays with some old mates from Durham every time they come north they ring me to see where is fishing then ignore me and go to the ramp at Cambois, the reason being they caught a small bass there back in September so they arrived at 1pm after i told them its crap in daylight most of the time, however Arthur manages his first codling i promised i would not tell everyone I cast out for him told him when to strike and climbed down rocks to hand ball it up lol he wanted it put on forum with the title Durham lads get the big cod !
we fished till around 7 and they decided to call it a day Les had 1 more codling around the same size and I lost one that Les later pulled in and kept !. I headed off for home but decided to fish the last hr or so of ebb at Hadston I had 5 casts and had the 2 fish below and one lost with my shock leader by this time my flask was empty so decided to call it a night
