basically im gonna come out with it straight i went to the pier at 2am early morning just to kill some time with a bit bait fishing till crack of dawn till mackerel arrived. took a few whiting and pouting ,plan was seems as i only took one set of feathers if they was gone so was i ,so it happened after only fetching 1 mackerel in on big rod ,i stumbled across 1 feather cut off in side me box of a previous session ,so takes a small 1 ounce drilled bullet slides it up main line on the spinning rod then a small bead then attached a 2 /0 aberdeen, then the 1 feather i ties above the rig . bottom 2/0 hook with a slim portion of mackerel strip yup (at it again) lol,seems as the mackerel wasnt in great numbers far and few between,i did manage 3 mackerel on that set up in the end a double shot also . eventually gave up and went home no life in the sea at that time ,but a lot life on the end lot of chavs launching there tackle like theres no tomorrow
