The old girl was a calling again today so i had a drive down to Hartlepool and headed for the Heugh. First i popped into see John at the Friargae tackle shop and i can honestly say in the last four years of my fishing i got the best two score of lugworm from John.£5 a score and cracking stuff.
On the Heugh the end was crowded so i went up top. Nowt was doing -it was dire so i moved onto the bottom and fished next to Bob C.
Things got so bad a few anglers left-but we battled on and Bob was eventually rewarded with this 6 1/2 pounder-caught on blacks and razer-but had a belly full of sandeel.

After about an hour i got this one just under 4lb..(one crab in its belly)

Then it went quiet again-the odd flattie coming up and Bob pulling up this one

Overall very disappointing days fishing. Bobs Cod shows exactly why it been hard going at the moment.

Well Done!

Well Done!

Great to see a nice Cod being produced!
I've just finished squaring away all of my kit for tomorrow and have a bit of a monster session planned!
I'm going to start on the first ebb of the day and then fish through to the second. Starting in King Edward's Bay and moving North to Brown's Bay. A mixture of heavy rock marks and beach! I'll be happy with just one Cod like that (can you hear me God)?
Well done!
All the best, Wayne.

well done mick on the fish and bob im missing the old girl at the moment hoping to get out next week even if its just for a couple hours of scratching and nothing else
