after a few cod we decided to have a paddle over to the darkside yo try and find a few mackeral

they say we are mad this lad was paddling out from the tyne on his paddle board through the piers and on to tynemouth , looked good fun

after a getting a few mackeral we headed back in to our mark and started bagging up on the cod all decent size 3 to 4 lb with the odd one over the 5lb mark

some good fun on the live launce dopped down on a small jighead they were getting smashed off the cod before they got to the bottom

heres a few more pics

Good report Jeff, and well done on the fishing. That was me fishing the mouth of the Tyne with a cuple of mates aboard Lazy Daze when that lad came out on the paddle board in shorts and T shirt. Nice to talk to you.

Nice one Jeff, great to be able to get out again, I think we wrote off most of all of July

Great pics

Cheers

i nice too see you out did you get many mackeral they seemed a bit thin on the ground
shoals of 2 inch herring sprats but no big ones

No, we only had a dozen between us. I had about 15 herring around 10inch, gurnet, sandeels, 1 codling, over ten weavers. We only went out for mackerel for the freezer fishing the tide line just outside the piers.
