sorry norman and tony, i had the offer to go on malcolm watts boat out of the sluice on sat. what a fantastic day weather wise had loads of little rattles but only managed two cod at 2lb apiece and a pouting but at least i got out, :red: nobody seemed to be catching when we were out

Was lovely to be afloat on Saturday wasn't it Bob , I had the same sort of day, great weather , fabulous boating conditions but not great fishing , I was out Friday with 2 other lads and we had about 9 fish between us , I was out Saturday on my own and had about the same number again , good numbers , but they were small fish and only one fish was kept each day, feels good to get started though.

Bad forcast for next weekend Norman ...... only joking up to now it's looking good again , and you are right about the spring run I think , they aren't here in any numbers yet , not up our way anyway , and what are about are mostly small.
The season has definitely started though and hopefully will get better and better over the coming weeks , I just hope the weather is as good as it has been this last couple of days a few more times through the summer.

i didnt want to rub it in but i was out on the same boat on thurs,:red: back of st, marys and yellow can but we got nothing that day looking forward to warm days and light winds or better no wind
