Axellerator, Power, Ultra Power

Hi Lads,
Has anyone got any direct experience of the Axellerator and the Icon Ultra Power or the Power?
How do they compare?
I have an Axellerator and am trying to decide wether to opt for a second or one of the Icons.

i had the icon ultra power and it was very heavy rod to use i didnt like it.

the new icon m sport is by all accounts a lot lighter and a really nice rod to use,if u get the older version the ultra power just bear in mind it a very heavy rod to use and like a poker.

Icon all day axes are over kill you'll see some distance added to your casting with a icon as Easter to bend

I should add that it isn't for shore fishin, it's for deep water rock marks after conger and bull Huss.
Is the ultra stiffer than the Axe?

never owned a axe but if your only using the ultra for heavy ground it will be fine mate will pull the sea bed up.

If your just using for what you have said get an axe. If you want something that will still do the job but better to cast, better bite detection and more comfortable feel being a 13ft 10in get the mk2 ultra power the one without the built in reducer hence why the mk1s were heavier in the butt.

I have the icon M sport power and I find excellent value rod and a nice rod to use.
I am not one of the best casters, but my m8 is and he has had a few casts and found the rod to be A ok for distance and a good rod for the price

Last question, would you say the axe is stiffer and stronger than the ultra?

the excellerator I had was not new got it second hand the rod was stiff and I found it hard to cast sold it on. got the zipplex sst of my m8.
the icon M sport power is not as stiff as the axe but I tend to use my zipplex sst as it is lighter and nice to cast, an old rod but still A1.
the icon M sport power in my opinion is excellent value rod most tackle shops had sold out got my rod from veals after a week or two on the waiting list .
