bait from chinese supermarket/mussel

I know they sell bluey and razor but is there anything else they sell thats good.plus wheres the best place to buy mussel,been told a lot of the frozen mussel has been dropped in boiling water to make it open and this makes it not as good

Morrisons sell fresh mussel or try other supermarkets like Asda, Tesco that have a wet fish department or you could pick your own

Tackle shops have it sitting on the counter when you go in and it's fresh. Seen it in reel sport South Shields and rutherfords in Sunderland

just noticed last week they sell squid strips as well. don't know what it would be like for bait, any advice welcome

Squid is usually good value from Chinese supermarket mate. You can get a 5 lb box for about £6.

No idea. A lad off here used some from tackle shop at par boiled some and tried both and had bites on both so it probably doesn't matter to be honest. Not sure where the thread is now
