bass fishing rules

Hi chaps, worth a mention that one of the lads uploaded a pic of a bass he and his mate caught shore fishing in Yorkshire this week. Then uploaded a pic of it cooked. Hadn't heard of the new rules on bass fishing???.

ie Any bass caught by pleasure anglers between Jan 1st and 30th June must be returned to the water . From July 1st untill 31st Dec., one bass only per session may be kept. (Different rules apply to commercial fishermen).

The rules are freely available on the enviroment agency and maritime office web sites.

The agency will prosecute anyone who is in breach and it's worth knowing that ignorance of the law is no excuse for breaking it .

Hope this saves the chaps who don't know. some hefty fines .

Don't forget, to get our fishing rights back vote OUT 23rd June.

Fishing the sea shore was a right given under Magna Carta and has been whittled down over time by governments and the EU. The bass law is an EU one which our government forced on us without debate in Westminster.

Vote OUT to reclaim your rights as an angler and an English man by the grace of God.

Yes your right BUT we will still the same T---wts in control ------Thanks to the Poster on the bass fishing rules I never new of this ---I tend to do most of my bass fishing over the boarder :)

By the way, it's not one bass per session, it's one bass per DAY. Just in case you have two or three sessions per day ;)
And don't forget that the size limit has been raised to 42cm.
Hope this helps.
