A couple of weeks ago, whilst fishing the end of Shields Pier at dawn, the area known as \"the small wall\" was absolutely alive with small colies and launce.
Couldn\'t fail to catch (unusual for me, I know...lol). Pulling up coalies and launce 2 & 3 at a time.
All the coalies went back, as did some of the launce. However, I did keep a few of the bigger launce (about a foot long), as I\'d read that they are a cracking bait for Bass.

I\'ve not tried them yet, as I\'m not sure just how to present them.

Am I right in thinking that an ordinary pennel will do ?

Or is there some other method for using launce as bait form the shore?

Saw them using them to spin for Pollack on fishing with Henry. Try Henry Gilbeys website see if theirs owt on their Tony!

I\'ve never done it,but I would imagin it\'s no different to rigging a freshwater bait up for pike. But not using trebles
