beaches in august

sure I read last year about a local angler getting a nice bag of codling in august from a local beach when there sea was up ,looks nice roll on today.anyone had any luck this time of year off the sand ?

Had some good bags from both Blyth and Whitley beaches Audust onward on fresh crab, sometimes frozen crab is all they wanted not touching the fresh stuff. There's been a few times when my mate only had fresh and I've bagged up with frozen. Most marks can fish well from August Cambios and Newbiggin also should fish well

I've fished some local beaches after bass during past summers and have caught a fair few codling mate so worth a shot

Best bet is probably fishing dusk into dark to give yourself a better chance

looks like sea is starting to drop off now,i might end up on rock ends yet

Hello Peter, I took these and more on Whitley Beach towards the end of August a few years ago. These are the ones I kept but I returned more as I was at work in the morning.
