Beacons last night

Fished the above location last night in my club comp. There was a massive swell and some big rollers but thought it would produce some decent fish. Was really slow fishing only had two codling, BUT!!! I missed a big fish at my feet, totally devastated picked me up and started to pull me out to sea, I struck into it and straight away felt how heavy it was. My SS kompresser was bent double, I finally got it to my feet but a big roller came and smashed it off a rock it rolled and spat the hook out and went on its way. ruff guess of size would be 7lb. Never mind I finished with two for 3lb 3oz.

I could not tell you mate.i hardly fish the place. Thought with a big swell it would fish. It was not far from the square hole.

Unlucky m8 it happend to me a few weeks ago in the same place there's nothing worse when u can see its a good fish

I would have preferred it to drop off 20yards away than it drop off right at my feet. Sickner is not the word. Ill be there again Monday night lets see if its daddy is about. Lol
