Times is hard so with a bit of cunning recycling I have made a very comfy carrying system using an old rucksack, a foam roll mat and tie-wraps

total cost: less than £20 (that includes buying second hand box)

tell you what m8 its got to be more comfortable than the breakaway back rest i paid £40 and it is really uncomfortable had to put padding on it wish i haf seen this post before buying my backrest

there comfy if your back is slim but im a big bloke belive me m8 its nt comfy

bear in mind this a combo with the breakaway conversion

and I agree that I've never found the conversion very comfy and I'm a chubba too

Know what you mean Mick, i have the build of a fosters beer barrel! I did think of pipe lagging just to cushion it abit
