Best budget beachcaster

Hi above I'm new to sea fishing usually carp/pike fish I'm after a rod probably just a used one but struggling to find anything anyone got any ideas at what I should be looking out for and prices I should be paying please Cheers p.s I'm from North Shields so will be fishing the piers beaches ect just all local spots

You will get better answers if you can say what your budget is. For some £30 might be a budget rod, for others up to £120.

If you can stretch to £100 then you won't go far wrong with the Ron Thompson Axellerator, it is a hell of a lot of rod for the money and would cost twice as much with a Century or zziplex badge on it

To be honest was hoping to spend probs up to 60 at the minute as I have to buy all the tackle aswel and I'm after a seat box been told to get a greys Apollo,but can't find one got offered one for 80 but needs a rebuild!

60 quid will get you a second hand RT axe as Stuart says they are a lot of rod for the money and are spot on in heavy ground!

hi iam selling two rods one an anyfish anywhere six & bait 13ft which is brand new the other is a sonik sk3 which is second hand i am looking for £150.00 for the pair these are a real bargain if you are interested just pm me cheers
