Better than I thought ssp

When I say better than I thought I meant the weather. Great day to be out fishing, I took my waterproofs expecting to get drenched and instead it was more of a cap and sunglasses day, didn't even put my coat on
Set up at the 45 mark next to Joe Montgomery and straight away we were into fish, undersize coalies around the 30cm mark. They came in regularly and I ended up with 8 in total. I tried putting bigger baits and hooks on but the same stamp of coalie were still taking them. Baits used were ragworm, frozen blacks and razor, I even used some week old dead rag that I'd had in the fridge since last weekend and the coalies took that also. Thought there would be some codling there today with that sea but it was not to be for me.
Hope the weather is as good tomorrow for the Crabstick Comp and hope the fish are a bit bigger too.

I set up where I saw you mark (halfway between the gate and the end of railings).

Fished 2 hrs up and 2 down. I only had coley as well, biggest was about 32cm, kept me busy for a few hours though.

Asked everyone who came past if they'd had anything, all I heard was coley; a family near me were fishing into the harbour side, coleys as well, and an eel.

i went on the end with adam d, we had fish almost every cast with some double shots.

coalies, best 36cm
dabs
flounder
whiting, best 45cm

and a dogfish, something i wasnt expecting.

we also had 2 lobsters, only just size so went back.

lost loads of gear though, i went through 9 leads.
