fished last two hours out and first two in today on blyth peir. was blowin a screama all day, even so, about a dozen fishing at one point. there was a couple of lads on the end when we arrived so fished the bend.me and me pal both baited up 2 rods, 1 in the river with smaller hooks/baits the other whacked out to sea with a wee bit more on the hooks! tried lug, rag, mussels, mackie, razor and sum o them crab nugget things, all either on their own or in various cocktails. sorry, will cut to the chase, caught bot all, got no bites, lost me hat, got cold etc etc. but hey, we were out there doin it! saw a dab the size of me hand come in to one of the guys on the end, but apart from that.........

It's a lucky rod that mate - used it once and caught a 2 and half pund codling on it

Dicky hard luck mate-thought i might be struggling but yet again in the worst conditions i caught fish. By tea-time and evening wind dropped quite a bit.
