Thanks for the deal Scaley. I hope your new reel turns out to be a lucky one for you. I'll be looking for your post about the doubler that you're going to haul in with it.
It was good to meet you; you seem like a nice young lad, and you know your stuff. I was impressed when you told me that you strip your reels and service them yourself. Not many your age will be doing that.
You should listen to your mam though, and spend a bit more time at school instead of sneaking off fishing. These last couple of years at school are the most important. Get qualified and get a good job and you'll be able to buy all the fishing gear you want; including those Penn £400 jobbies that you talked about.
