Blossom

I have never understood the point of blossom trees. They are beautiful, but bloom for 10% of the year and lie bare the rest of the time.

I understand even less our local council's obsession with planting these trees in a cold and windy Scottish climate??

We have one in our street, it looks beautiful in my opinion however it only looks that way for 1-2 weeks tops like you say

Nice picture

I've got one in my front garden, as big as our house! We've been here 4 years now and every year the blossom stays on for 4 days max before it starts falling. It does look canny for those 4 days, but at the minute our garden, our car, and most of the street is covered in the stuff!

Come on, its all biodegradable lads...I am the only one who thinks they look nice?

Maybe I should be on the council :exclam:

I think they’re bonny; looking fantastic for a week or two and after that it’s still good to have some. In Japan they have updates on the national news about the when the first ones flower. It signals the start of spring to them and they celebrate with eating and drinking festivals, which cannot be a bad thing.

got one of the f..rs in me front garden, shallow routed tree that plays havoc with the surrounding lawn.:) stamp them out we must destroy them I say:D

totally agree g.ordon, or am a on the wrong thread...............................................................?

them trees are lush man

Come all lads, we all agree they look lovely, but they last 10% of the year!

I mean you wouldn't spend thousands of pounds on say, a boat, that you only got out on 10% of the year............................................................................................................Oh wait a minute!!! :D::D
