had 4 hours on the bend yesterday, 2 hrs either side of low. was good to be out in salt water again, only second time out since feb:o lovely day for it and spirits were high. been doin a lot of troutin lately, not hard to think why, not one knock, pull, nibble, rattle, bite, bit interest etc etc had some (lovely) lug, rag and macky but nowt. it is pants this period between the end of the winter season and the start of the summer season don't you agree:( think i'll stick to me troutin for another 4-5 weeks before givin it another bash......till next time

Yeah, it needs a spell of nice settled weather for a few days & you might get a nice plaice or two from there. I had a look on Easter Sunday & managed one nice pan-sized plaice, but unfortunately the dredger was out doing his business off the end of the pier, so I called it a day early.

I went back the beginning of this month (bank holiday sunday) and had nowt but three postage stamps, but it was canny windy and the sea a bit choppy for my liking. As soon as these niggly easterlies get lost & we get a nice flat, clear sea I'll be back to try for some better specimens; only a month or so left to try before the pier gets full of feather-wielding numpties!
