Blyth Beach 10/02/2014.

We had our comp on the beach yesterday lads 4pm-8pm. It was case of looking for Flatties with the sea being pretty flat. I got a nice Flounder of 37 cm and another smaller one plus couple small coalies.
A thoroughly enjoyable night and thanks again to the Northumbria guys for organising everything.

No i won ha ha, 13 fish for 314 points (from the SAMF scoring chart).


Blactrat came second with 260ish points and then everyone else was a good bit behind! my team won the team comp too.

It was an enjoyable night and i had an hour between 8-9 where i had about 7 fish, was a bit manic.

First time i have won out in my life!

Just eaten the largest of the flounders I caught in the comp plus some kindly donated by my mate Charlie. Sea run flounder is much underrated I think. Delicious fried in breadcrumbs with some home made tartare sauce.
