blyth peir today

hello all, i am new to nesa, and new to sea fishing having only been 3 times including today.

i fished blyth peir halfway between the end and the bend from around 9 am till half 12 ish, i used lug and mackrel and didnt even get any knocks. there were 3 guys fishing the end who stayed longer and didnt get anything either.

it is fortunate that the first couplle of times i went fishing with mates there were plenty of fish around all beit small ones which got me hooked. if thy had been a couplle of days like today, i dont know if i would have had the same enthusiasm.

anyway am out tommorrow from 9 till 2 ish, any advice on marks would be appreciated. thanks to the other guys fishing the peir for the advice and the decent conversation.....and for not openly laughing at my attempts to bait up etc lol:red:

HAHA, Divnt worry mate as i in the same boat as you. Ive only been out about 10 or less times. And in that time my baiting up aswell as my casting have come on leaps and bounds. Aswell as every thing else like Rig making and a bit knowledge aswell. Having 1 ready to chuck straight back in etc...
Practise makes perfect as they say...

I know but I'm not allowed, I just got married.....anyone know how long it takes for your misses to get fed up of you and actually send you fishing.

On a serious note I might try early morning next week....when its still dark!

you wont have to wait long,trust me ps congrats to you bothpps you might find the wife more ageeable to the fishing if you come back with a big one:exclam::question:

i've been married 21 years & she will still not send me fishing i've just godda say im off fishing lol she hates owt 2 do with fish lol
