Beaches unfishable so had no choice but to try the pier, not ideal really fishing over low water. Started fishing just before midnight and finished about 05:00, two small bites, two small flatties and a codling about a pound and a half.
Only one decent fish that I know of, a fish of about 7lb.
Definitely think there is something about the high / low pressure thing!!
Tell you what mind, it's great fun walking along a wooden pier after it's been snowing then hailing then raining then freezing
