Fished 12 noon until 6.00'pm' just before the bend, not a bite until approx 4.30'pm' then lots of small rattles that I could not connect with, then at last caught a fish (any fish would do after blanking 8 in a row) whitey about a pound would have returned it but deep hooked. Caught one other size whitey just as the light began to go. Bait used rag tipped with mackerel.
Sea was flat as........ Approx 25 fishing the pier, saw a few size whitey caught from the end throughout the afternoon and one very small dab but no
codling. NESA member 5150 introduced himself, enjoyed the chat mate.

Hi mate,

I was fishing the end today from about 10-4pm, I had a little codling (about 8 inches) first chuck, then 8 whities to about a pound and a dab. There was a period just after the tide turned when it went a bit daft and a fair few were being pulled in for around an hour, then it tailed off a bit.
