blyth pier 2/2/08

me and mick fished blyth pier from 9pm - 2am i got 2 small codling and a small plaice mick got 3 rockling and a 2lb codling. baits used were rag lug and mussel. there was a nice bit movement in the sea but the big fish didn't play the game. when gutted the codling had a small flatfish in its stomach.

there was about 10-15 people when we got there and there was 1 left when we left he was staying all night,he got a 2.5lb codling not long before we left. not much caught just a couple of whiting from the end.

we were on Blyth pier aswell last night. We got there around 7 ish but only stayed an hour. One of the lads forgot his floatation suit trousers and the wind was a bit to cold for him, so we moved elswhere for him. Had two chucks the first resulting in a 1lb 15oz codling caught on lug and squid heads. Nowt on the other chuck. Tried cirle hooks for the first time last night and caught 3 fish altogether all hooked in the corner/scissors, coincidence??
As someone that puts everything back i think ill give circle hooks a bit more time.
