Arrived at Byth pier about 2.45pm, to see about 20 rods fishing, with a cluster of guys fishing the end, a six and a half pound codling had just been caught and a couple of two pounders in the same period (squid being the killer bait) , from then on, nothing, everyone seemed to be plagued with coalie bites, but nothing that you could hook into, I left at 6.45pm after an enjoyable session, and still nice to know the chance of something decent is upon us.

bad luck on catching nothing i had the same sort of night fishing the peeping toms then blyth beach. only one good knock all night but that was the kind of hit and run bite. still a canny night and nice and mild:)

cheers

Excellent report mate, spoke to the guy that caught the 6 and a half pounder this morning and there was very little caught for the rest of the night ..well done to auld arthur on the 6 and a half pounder chuffed to bits for him as he puts a lot of time in and usually gets little back for it ;)

Cheers for that Tommy nice report mate, hope it's your turn next time. That is the thing about Blyth pier, it can change so much from one tide to the next.

So Arthur caught a canny fish eh Paul, do me a favour mate and ask him if he talked it out lmao, tell him well done from me.
