decided ta take my 8 yr old boy and younger brother ta blyth pier today for a chuck. Fished between 12 and 5 using just rag. A lot windier than i thought it was gonna be its a good job the lads were well wrapped up. Plenty of tiddlers about a mixture of coalies and rockling but nowt big came off the pier all day not even a decent flattie. So between the three of us we managed 12 tiddlers. The lad was well impressed wiv the two he caught...... His first ever fish ha ha. All in all a good day out an a bit sport for the younguns.

ha ha thanks lads an its hardly a century gordon..... Just a cheap spinner i got him for macky bashin in the summer but to him its as good a century ha ha

Brill, Nice to hear of some youngsters getting out and at least catching something, start them at this age and it may keep them off street corners, well done, cant we orginize something for kids? say 7 to 12 yr olds

good idea pricey but id be a bit reluctant to take em anywhere other than piers at the moment. Just seems a safer bet to me like or a beach definatley not rocks ha ha
